White Chocolate Mocha with Homemade Whipped Cream

Our easy homemade white chocolate mocha coffee beverage is coffee shop quality made in your own kitchen. You will find this recipe to be as rich and decadent as a gourmet coffee shop serves except now you know how to make your own.

I have also included a rich recipe for homemade whipped cream to make your homemade white chocolate mocha latte even better.

Ingredients for Making White Chocolate Mocha

White Chocolate Mocha Latte Ingredients

  • Whole milk
  • White chocolate baking chips (buy Ghiradelli on Amazon, here)
  • Melted butter or coconut oil, whichever you have on hand
  • Freshly brewed strong black coffee
  • Sprinkles or cinnamon for garnish, optional

Homemade White Chocolate Mocha Easy Recipe

We begin by making our homemade whipping cream first. Pour the heavy cream into a bowl and mix using an electric mixer until it become partially solid. Add the vanilla followed by the powdered sugar and continue to mix until light and fluffy. Cover and set into the refrigerator.

Pour the milk into a small saucepan and place onto a burner set to medium-low heat. Simmer, but don’t boil, stirring constantly until heated through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Now melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave. Pour the chips into a microwave safe bowl and heat at 15 to 20 second intervals, stirring between each one until melted. Add in the melted butter or coconut oil and stir to combine. This addition of a little fat will help the melted chips not to clump. A nice trick when melting chocolate.

Pour the warm milk into the bowl with the white chocolate sauce and stir to combine then set aside.

This recipe will fill two 16 oz. mugs or Mason jar glasses but you can use whatever size mugs you have on hand to serve more than two folks if you like.

We do not use any special kind of coffee, we use our favorite which is actually a half caffeine blend from the grocery store. Be sure to make it a little stronger than you normally would for this recipe and use your trusty favorite coffee maker like we do.

Pour you hot coffee into two 16 oz. mugs or a few mugs of your choice leaving space for the white chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Pour a portion of the white chocolate sauce into each mug of hot coffee and then top with a big dollop of your homemade whipped cream.

If you are in the mood to create a pretty cup of mocha, spoon the whipped cream into an icing bag fitted with a decorative tip and create a pretty swirl on top. Sprinkles and cinnamon are optional.

This recipe makes 32 oz. which we serve in two 16 oz. Mason jars. You may serve your white chocolate mocha in regular size mugs for more servings if you like or any size mug you have on hand.
